    Hey guys, I’m here to talk to
    you guys about one of my passions

    that I have which is traveling
    and share with you guys

    three of my favourite or most
    memorable travelling experiences.

    I think my first one is actually
    probably the most recent one,

    the one that I had in Ecuador.
    [ding]

    The whole Degrassi cast went
    for a Free the Children trip.

    It was a really amazing experience
    and a really awesome trip in general

    but there was one part of it that
    I don’t think anybody really expected.

    The whole cast had to do
    this jungle food thing

    and our tour guide was like,
    'I’ve got this special treat for you.'

    Comes in with a little bowl,
    opens it up, and surprise, surprise,
  • 0:49 - 0:50
    they’re live grubs.
  • 0:50 - 0:53
    [ding]
  • 0:53 - 0:56
    No way I’m eating that!
    And Ehren was super into eating it,

    and even Ana and Chelsea
    were into eating it and just…

    aah. I was like, 'I don’t know
    if I can do that!'

    But I didn’t want to go home
    and be the one guy who didn’t eat one.

    So I was like, 'Okay, I'll eat one.'
    We cheersed it and we ate it,

    big fat grub [“fat grub” repeated]

    Honestly, it was not…
    it was not good at all.

    If you put vomit into a pasta shell
    and sealed it off and gave it

    a little bug head, that’s exactly
    what it tasted like; it was awful.

    Hey, I ate a grub in Ecuador.
    What did you do?

    Another great trip
    that I took – less gross –

    I went on a European tour
    with my mom. I started off in France.

    My mom lived in France and Paris,
    it was a really cool experience
  • 1:36 - 1:40
    because I could travel around Paris
    and see all the sights and kinda have
  • 1:40 - 1:43
    this in-depth knowledge of what
    my mom went through
  • 1:43 - 1:46
    and what she lived in
    for her university time.
  • 1:46 - 1:48
    And then the place we
    went to afterwards was Italy –
  • 1:48 - 1:50

    At the time I was super into gladiators,
    and Roman civilisation,

    and how Rome had one of the
    largest empires back then.

    And I also went to the Vatican when
    I was in Italy which was really cool.

    Apparently the Vatican is its own
    country and me as thirteen years old

    thought it’d be really cool if I ran
    around the Vatican so I could tell people
  • 2:07 - 2:08
    I ran around a whole country.

    I think I just looked really dumb
    compared to everyone else there.

    And then after Italy I went to England.

    ♪ [stereotypical English trumpet music]

    It was raining all the time,
    but I got to see a lot of stuff,

    go on the giant spinning thing, I
    don’t even remember what it’s called…

    [OS female voice]: Oh, I –

    [ding] The London Eye, yeah,
    it’s called the London Eye

    and that was a sight to experience.

    It was just an overall
    really memorable trip.

    I just had a really fun time
    bonding with my mom
  • 2:33 - 2:36
    and going on that experience.
    And the final one that I had

    was my grade 12 trip,
    my class drama trip to New York.

    [ding] That was ah –
    that was a lot of fun.

    It was my first trip I got to go
    with a lot of friends.

    A lot of wacky, crazy stories
    that happened but I think

    the most memorable stuff
    about that was going to see

    the musical ‘Hedwig’. And at the time,
    Neil Patrick Harris was starring in it

    and he was phenomenal,
    did crazy wacky stuff,

    like going into the audience
    and kissing random people,

    ugh! It was great.

    I saw a little play called
    ‘The Realistic Mr. Joneses’.

    That was like, the most
    confusing play I’ve ever seen.

    All my drama teachers were like,
    ‘Oh, this is so good!’

    I’m just sitting there and I’m like,
    ‘I… don’t understand what’s happening.’

    Yeah those are my [three dings]
    three memorable moments about travelling!

    I think travelling is probably
    one of the most interesting
  • 3:28 - 3:31
    and awesome experiences
    you get to have.

    Just don’t eat the grubs in Ecuador.
    Or you will vomit.
