  • 0:10 - 0:12
    I am Lorena
  • 0:12 - 0:14
I belong to the Zeitgest movement
    almost from the begining
  • 0:14 - 0:17
I started here in Valencia with them
  • 0:17 - 0:23
And now I am in charge of the
    cordination team
  • 0:24 - 0:29
and work as an international connection
    for the visitors,
  • 0:29 - 0:36
traveles and collaborations with other European Chapters
  • 1:00 - 1:03
I started being part of this movement
  • 1:03 - 1:08
because i participated in many movements
  • 1:09 - 1:12
(she complains about the street sounds)
  • 1:14 - 1:19
I joined the movement because, I participated
in many organizations and social movements
  • 1:20 - 1:25
And after a lot of time of debating and
    participation
  • 1:25 - 1:28
and being close to some ideas
  • 1:28 - 1:33
I discovered that maybe I was investing a lot of energy trying to change things that I found unfair
  • 1:33 - 1:39
but each one of them was just a symptom of one big root problem
  • 1:39 - 1:43
with this movement what I am trying to do,
Is to help my partners to
  • 1:43 - 1:53
solve this problem from the root,
instead of attacking each symptom in parallel
  • 2:14 - 2:22
the spanish chapter of Zeitgeist movement, like the other chapters i guess, was worn sponotaneously
    it was born spontaneously,
  • 2:22 - 2:28
I think that the national coordinator was not expecting what the movement is now.
  • 2:30 - 2:32
    now we are more organized
  • 2:32 - 2:41
and also that is why we are having more
    troubles than at the begining
  • 2:41 - 2:44
but it´s because of the complex that
    we have reached
  • 2:44 - 2:47
I think this will keep increasing
    and growthing
  • 2:47 - 2:49
and the problems that we find in the way
  • 2:49 - 2:51
    will be solved
  • 2:51 - 2:58
I believe on this, because I trust in our
    decisionmaking system
  • 2:58 - 3:05
and our basic rules and mechanism. I think our problems can be solved with that mechanism
  • 3:05 - 3:09
untill we find one better and more efficient
  • 3:28 - 3:33
..actually the welfare stare, well ...we are humans
  • 3:33 - 3:38
so here in Spain it produces the same
    Placebo effect, that produces
  • 3:38 - 3:44
in other places, because all humans work
    on the same way
  • 3:44 - 3:48
so i believe that now in Spain
  • 3:48 - 3:53
the thing is that we are starting to see
a problem in the welfare state
  • 3:53 - 3:57
and that is why, may be
  • 3:57 - 4:00
    it will easier now to
  • 4:00 - 4:04
help people to understand that we where
    wasting energy attacking the symptom
  • 4:04 - 4:10
instead of being attacking the root problem
  • 4:10 - 4:14
    (repeat)
  • 4:14 - 4:18
we have wasted a lot of energy
    attacking the symptoms
  • 4:18 - 4:23
    when we can be united
and attack the problem from the root
  • 4:23 - 4:27
we have seen that in other countries
  • 4:27 - 4:31
may be is harder to help people
  • 4:31 - 4:33
to understand this ideas, because of their welbeing
  • 4:33 - 4:39
but in Spain now the situation is changing
  • 4:39 - 4:42
and probably it will be easier, that people
  • 4:42 - 4:47
ask for a change, even though we are not
    good oriented
  • 4:47 - 4:50
to the real cause of the problem
  • 4:51 - 4:59
    (wind)
  • 4:59 - 5:03
the truth I am not going to be afraid to say "i don´t know"
  • 5:03 - 5:06
but at least i see it
  • 5:06 - 5:08
    I think it is possible
  • 5:08 - 5:15
but I really know that we have to do it ourselves,
    because It wont come alone
  • 5:15 - 5:19
so I think that who understands what is
  • 5:19 - 5:23
    the opensource technology
  • 5:23 - 5:26
understands which is our idea of transition
  • 5:26 - 5:31
    the movement's idea of transition
  • 5:35 - 5:39
    (here)
well if you are not part of the solution
  • 5:39 - 5:44
you are part of the problem
