Click Your Fortune #3: Top future jobs - Jennifer Indovina

  • 0:05 - 0:06
    It's really funny,
  • 0:06 - 0:08
    we're starting to see
  • 0:08 - 0:10
so many more titles coming in
  • 0:10 - 0:12
    that are "Creative Director"
  • 0:12 - 0:16
    or "Director of Innovation",
  • 0:16 - 0:19
and I feel like our generation
  • 0:19 - 0:21
is going to, kind of, see past that
  • 0:21 - 0:23
and understand that every single employee
  • 0:23 - 0:26
    needs to have creativity
  • 0:26 - 0:28
in everything that they do everyday,
  • 0:28 - 0:30
that's this element of our work
  • 0:30 - 0:32
that's been lost over the past 20 years,
  • 0:32 - 0:35
and I think it's going to get integrated back in.
  • 0:37 - 0:39
I don't know how to say this any other way,
  • 0:39 - 0:43
but I hope every company around the world
  • 0:43 - 0:44
gets rid of their H.R. departments
  • 0:44 - 0:48
    because it ruins communication and,
  • 0:48 - 0:50
I'll start over and I'll try to think of an actual job,
  • 0:50 - 0:51
but maybe you guys can help me.
  • 0:51 - 0:54
    What's a job that's like anti-H.R.?
  • 0:54 - 0:58
    Is there a job that's like anti-H.R.?
  • 0:58 - 1:02
    Ah, I don't know,
  • 1:02 - 1:03
    like master chopper,
  • 1:03 - 1:05
    like guillotine guy,
  • 1:05 - 1:07
like "and you're done, like, leave".
  • 1:07 - 1:09
    I don't know of the anti-H.R. job.
  • 1:15 - 1:16
Probably the easiest answer would be
  • 1:16 - 1:18
    the jack-of-all-trades guy.
  • 1:18 - 1:21
Every company sort of has someone
  • 1:21 - 1:23
in their company that they go to
  • 1:23 - 1:26
for matters that there is no title for,
  • 1:26 - 1:29
    whether it's, "I have a communication issue,"
  • 1:29 - 1:33
or, "I don't like the project I'm on right now."
  • 1:33 - 1:37
And I feel like that sort of jack-of-all-trades job
  • 1:37 - 1:39
has yet to really define itself,
  • 1:39 - 1:40
    but it will,
  • 1:40 - 1:42
and when we know it, we'll see it.
