Click Your Fortune #2: Top future jobs - Alessandro Centrone

  • 0:01 - 0:05
What job that does not exist today do you think will be one of the world's "top 10" jobs in 10 years?
  • 0:05 - 0:09
I think, and I'm speaking about my industry
  • 0:09 - 0:10
so the company I work for
  • 0:10 - 0:14
is a company that is engaged in supporting our clients
  • 0:14 - 0:18
    in defining this work environment.
  • 0:18 - 0:20
And what we are seeing already today
  • 0:20 - 0:23
but will increase definitely in the future
  • 0:23 - 0:24
    is the involvement of people
  • 0:24 - 0:27
that have skills that are not directly related
  • 0:27 - 0:29
    to products themselves,
  • 0:29 - 0:32
but people who understand mainly other,
  • 0:32 - 0:33
    let's say, sciences,
  • 0:33 - 0:34
    so people who can,
  • 0:34 - 0:37
who are able to equate together concepts
  • 0:37 - 0:40
    that go from anthropology
  • 0:40 - 0:41
    to sociology
  • 0:41 - 0:42
    to psychology.
  • 0:42 - 0:44
If you think about the impact
  • 0:44 - 0:47
that the work environment can give to the people
  • 0:47 - 0:48
    working in that environment,
  • 0:48 - 0:51
it's really important to have the ability
  • 0:51 - 0:53
to understand what people are expecting
  • 0:53 - 0:55
    from a work environment
  • 0:55 - 0:59
and translate that into an effective formula
  • 0:59 - 1:01
that, in the end, could bring effective results.
  • 1:01 - 1:03
So, something we are seeing today
  • 1:03 - 1:05
    but will definitely develop tomorrow
  • 1:05 - 1:07
is really the ability to understand
  • 1:07 - 1:09
    different cultures.
  • 1:09 - 1:11
    So, we study different cultures.
  • 1:11 - 1:13
We had just, we just conducted a study
  • 1:13 - 1:15
to see how people behave in places
  • 1:15 - 1:16
    like Beijing
  • 1:16 - 1:18
    or Monterey
  • 1:18 - 1:19
    or Los Angeles
  • 1:19 - 1:20
    and to understand also
  • 1:20 - 1:22
how the culture code, as we call it,
  • 1:22 - 1:25
    impacts those work environments.
  • 1:25 - 1:29
So, I think the more the world is globalizing,
  • 1:29 - 1:33
the more we see emerging economies becoming relevant,
  • 1:33 - 1:35
the more, I think, these profiles
  • 1:35 - 1:37
that are not necessarily only driven
  • 1:37 - 1:38
    by technical knowledge
  • 1:38 - 1:41
will be profiles that will have a certain impact
  • 1:41 - 1:43
    and importance in our industry.
  • 1:44 - 1:46
