-
I dream that my loved ones are being torn away
-
from my very hands.
-
I fear that my LGBT community sheds blood.
-
There have been many sexist, homophobic, and
-
even racist remarks.
-
I am afraid that I am going to have to go
-
back into the closet in which I came from.
-
There is no denying that we are all scared
-
in one way or another.
-
Now that they are attacking us for being who we are,
-
now that they are attacking us for loving who we love.
-
In our schools there is cruelty, racism, bullying, and beatings.
-
We stand in solidarity with all those who are being terrorized
-
by U.S imperialism throughout the world.
-
But let it be known that with this fear
-
we will make fierce promises to you.
-
To my mom, to my dad
-
to my sister, to my brother
-
to anyone and everyone that matters
-
in this life, which is everyone
-
let it be known that we will keep our promises
-
and let it be known that we are united.
-
Dear love, you show yourself in the most unexpected places,
-
you have the power to move millions
-
and inspire many more
-
and with that pure force
-
I ask that you show yourself to help
-
to open peoples eyes
-
that do not want to love
-
for systematic problems, like racism
-
and we can finally come together with your power.
-
To everyone, this is not a time
-
to fight with one another,
-
it is a time in our lives were we can stand together
-
stronger than ever
-
to hold your place, hold your family, hold my hand
-
and I promise I will hold yours.
-
A wolf is always stronger when it's with its pack.
-
Dear parents, students, and guardians,
-
we need your help.
-
The future generation needs to know that bullying
-
and beatings are not a good result.
-
We need justice.
-
We want you to fight for our rights
-
just like we fight for your rights.
-
Dear everyone in the LGBT+ community,
-
this is a time we need to band together
-
and help our community grow stronger.
-
Dear family members, in this moment we need each other
-
more than ever, from your defense
-
your protection,
-
more than anything we need your support.
-
We do not need to be attacked for being ourselves,
-
we know that we are a blessing from god.
-
And so we demand from everyone that right now is a time
-
to get together to unite and more
-
than anything, to love our sons and daughters.
-
As young people in the United States,
-
as queer people, many of us immigrants
-
we ask for the guidance of young people
-
and our elders in the world to fight together
-
for justice.
-
Dear queer people of color,
-
in Zapata's words:
-
"If there is no justice in our community
-
there shall be no peace in the government".
-
With much love Eryc Olivas

With much love Karina

It is me, Mimi
-
With hope by my side, Nezahualcoyotl
-
Sincerely, Manuel Nava
-
With faith and love, Maresol
-
Sincerly, Alexx

We got you fam.
