for the movement is Seldon

Who are you? what are you doing in the movement? Present yourself as you want : alias, occupation,

hobbies, etc... So, hm,

So, I've recently taken

the coordination of "Languedoc-Roussillon", since I'm living in the "Gard"

around "bagnols-sur-Ceze", not far from "Avignon/Nîmes",

and, hm, I'm trying to make my contribution

for the movement since these ideas have echo in my mind

and... what really drives me is to take real action.

How did you

join the movement? why did you join it? and why do you advocate

the movement and a ressource based economy?

so, I've been aware of the

film : "Zeitgeist : the movie"

and it was totally matching the ideas

that I was developping on my own as well, and it was just after

the "addendum" part where I found out that there was an associated movement with it

and... I took some time before

to gather infos about it was all about, and I registered myself in

the end of 2010, in the movement.

Why do you support the movement

and a ressource-based economy?

I support this movement because of the ideas it brings

as to say : informing people about the financial system

as it is, and the process of money creation which really is

the root cause of all our troubles and also

this idea of a ressource-based economy

which will be, in a future

that I know to be far, will be a

a viable solution to find some equilibrium on this planet

Tell us something about the movement history in your country, its most successful achievements, its most

important difficulties, talk to us about the next actions of the movement in

the story of the french movement

of course, I don't have the full details since the

movement is quite young, so, the most

important difficulties -in my opinion- that the movement is facing

is trying to

motivate new activists in order to

concretely work on real projects

and one of the difficulties we've been facing was the splitting with the

Venus Project. I am a part of those

who took it in a positive way,

knowing that, at the moment, there are two distinct existing entities.

tell us more about what is more important about the current social, economical and political context of

your country

that is a huge topic. in fact, the

circumstances in France are not so different than

most of European countries, and in the news,

for example in Greece, it is more and more

noticeable that other countries are stricken in same ways and believing France

won't be reached by those events

is a mere delusion. so, we will have

to suffer the same aftermath, as Greece, Portugal,

Ireland, Spain... All these countries that are affected

by this economic crysis and by a sort of privatization of

countries.

how do you imagine the transition between the actual economy and the ressource based economy?

The ressource based economy is

an ultimate goal, but it can

not ever happen -in my opinion-

because of two major facts. First of all,

everyone has to take full responsibility and act accordingly

to defuse that system from its root cause.

As to say, from the consumption point of view,

avoid the super-markets, clarify one's banking status,

Of course, this status is

relatively difficult since some people are in need.

and we have even more responsabilities in relation to this

trying to inform people at our best and, if we are able to do it,

finally help them.

on the second hand,

before reaching the RBE,

it will be necessary to "militate"

about intermediate phases to

break that financial system, ie,

forbid money speculation

forbid tax havens,

forbid all speculations from companies

to feed shareholders that are not real actives but only there to

take benefits from the work of all.

So, I think there is to globally clarify this level

and it only can be reached with a maximum

of people who knows how the financial system

works, and

it is how the Zeitgeist Movement can help, by bringing

really coherent and practical datas on how this financial system works

as perverted as it now can be

talking directly at the camera, your message

to all the people in the world, think about something brief, a sentence

that you'd like to say to viewers in the whole world

and we switch the tapes (laughs)

Well, so... then

hm... to viewers and people

I'll tell you, with the help from a thinker : Sri Chinmoy,

he said as follows :

"when the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will know peace"

Well, the future of the ZM as I can see it,

one of the advantages that I can find in the Zeitgeist Movement

is the ability to have an international communication

and from my point of view, the part that I am trying to play as

the coordinator of "Languedoc-Roussillon"

is a more local coordination because there are

many associations and groups in France, that exists and works with concrete results

We already have very important people

with great philosophies such as

Pierre Rabhi, for example, with "Terre et Humanisme" and the "Mouvement Colibris"

So, I can feel the Zeitgeist Movement as a kind of

an international spokesman of local actions

since many people take real actions

and the point of it

is to get the benefits of international informations

at a local level.

Hello! My name is Jean-Michel,

my alias in the ZM is "Seldon",

I live in the area of Bagnols-sur-Ceze, in the Gard (SSW, France)

and I recently took coordination of Languedoc-Roussillon for the Zeitgeist Movement

and it also appeared important to me

to be an active member, since my area is a bit unusual

Bagnols-sur-Ceze being near a

nuclear and nuclear-waste treatment plant, but the Gard

is also a target for prospectors interested

by gas fracking, so I am used to collaborate

with several movements in my area

like the collective "Stop au gaz de schiste".

So it seems important to me to find an echo with the Zeitgeist Movement.
