-
He took sannyasa; I was witness there.
-
I sent him to take cloth, danda, and everything.
-
Then he began to preach everywhere in India.
-
After some time, even he was a street-beggar,
-
anyhow he arranged to come to America
-
because Prabhupada, his gurudeva, had ordered him
-
to preach in Western countries.
-
First of all he came to [New York].
-
And in Tompkins Park
-
he began singing,
-
sri-krsna-caitanya prabhu-nityananda
-
sri-advaita gadadhara srivasadi-
-
gaura-bhakta-vrinda
-
Hare Krsna Hare Krsna
-
Krsna Krsna Hare Hare
-
Hare Rama Hare Rama
-
Rama Rama Hare Hare
-
Hearing his kirtana,
-
on karatalas only – no other instruments.
-
Let me tell one sentence.
-
Then so many hippies,
-
hearing his kirtana, began to dance.
-
They used to give him wine,
-
out of happiness.
-
Sometimes, they used to give him cigarettes
-
and so many things.
-
The great influence of kirtana
-
from a maha-bhagavata,
-
made them from hippies to ‘happies’.
-
(applause)
-
Syamarani is here.
-
(applause)
-
She and her husband were hippies,
-
and now she became a great devotee.
-
He wanted that I should be preaching
-
in the Western countries,
-
but I told, “Now I am serving my gurudeva.
-
Later on I will come.”
-
He used to give his preaching report to me weekly.
-
I have about five-hundred letters from him.
-
I sent him so many deities, karatalas, mrdangas,
-
and famous sweets of Mathura, peda.
-
What he wanted, I sent at once.
-
In one letter he has told, “Your relation with me is
-
as my transcendental relation with Prabhupada
-
– same relation.
-
After a few years, within a few years,
-
he preached all over America, Europe, Asia, Australia,
-
and so many places.
-
He published so many authorized books
-
and he established mathas
-
on the mountains, amongst oceans,
-
and here and there.
-
Very soon he spread his mission everywhere in the world.
-
But you should know
-
that he never gave anything new.
-
What he had from his gurudeva Srila Prabhupada through parampara –
-
only the same wine in a new bottle.
-
I think that,
-
where he established the mathas with his own hands
-
are very sacred pilgrimages for me.
-
So, I wanted to visit these places,
-
and very soon I visited so many places.
-
But, ISKCON has banned me, out of fear
-
that if any ISKCON leaders will hear my classes,
-
they will never return back to ISKCON.
-
So they banned me:
-
“Any disciple of
-
ISKCON will not meet Svami Narayana Maharaja."
-
So to visit all sacred places
-
I went over the whole world.
-
Up till now I have visited the whole world
-
about thirty times –
-
this is my thirtieth time in world preaching.
