Things You Think - When Life Departs

  • Not Synced
There's this dog that I was really fond of.
  • Not Synced
When they told me that he died,
I cried a lot after that.
  • Not Synced
When you die, first you feel all floppy.
  • Not Synced
    Then, you go stiff.
  • Not Synced
    Everybody dies
    at some point or another.
  • Not Synced
    There's an illness called cancer,
and you can die very quickly from it.
  • Not Synced
It must be very powerful or something.
  • Not Synced
Babies don't really die a lot,
    only when you grow up.
  • Not Synced
You just get too old for your age,
    and you die.
  • Not Synced
    But babies don't die much,
so your brother might not die.
  • Not Synced
    When they told me
    my little brother had died...
  • Not Synced
...I thought they were just joking
and having a bit of fun.
  • Not Synced
When I held him, he was freezing cold.
  • Not Synced
Then I realized that he was dead.
  • Not Synced
When they put him into the coffin...
  • Not Synced
...it made me cry a lot because
    I had to say good-bye.
  • Not Synced
I believe in life after death, definitely.
  • Not Synced
When you're lying in your coffin,
it's like you wake up again.
  • Not Synced
    There's a lift beside you.
  • Not Synced
    You go into this lift,
    and up, up into heaven.
  • Not Synced
    Imagine you're in a tunnel.
  • Not Synced
    You walk through it,
and there's a city street in front of you.
  • Not Synced
    You might meet your granny
or granddad that died in 1939.
  • Not Synced
I think you can't really walk up there.
  • Not Synced
I think God gives you special feet
    to walk around up there.
  • Not Synced
    There's this big cloud
you can play football on, like me.
  • Not Synced
I think if you're buried up in heaven,
you drop straight down to Earth.
  • Not Synced
I think that when you die,
    you lie there and rot.
  • Not Synced
Then your soul flies up to heaven.
  • Not Synced
Or maybe down to the devil
    if you've been bad.
  • Not Synced
There's really a lot of embers
    and fire and lava.
  • Not Synced
Hell is deep down in the Earth's core,
and there's a lot of lava.
  • Not Synced
    It's horrible.
  • Not Synced
    When you're in hell,
the devil locks you in a cage.
  • Not Synced
    You cry out for help.
  • Not Synced
    He pulls a lever,
    and everything goes poof.
  • Not Synced
The devil and God both want a person,
but it's best to go up to God.
  • Not Synced
I think God looks like an old king,
    a very old king.
  • Not Synced
Maybe his brain has been cut up
    into thousands of pieces.
  • Not Synced
I don't know how many people
    are in the world...
  • Not Synced
...but one of the pieces thinks about you,
and another thinks about someone else.
  • Not Synced
    I don't think there's a God.
  • Not Synced
    I went screaming around
because my head hurt so badly.
  • Not Synced
It's hard to decide what you want to do.
  • Not Synced
    Whether to go to heaven,
or stay with your mum and dad.
  • Not Synced
You can see if you'd rather go up there
    and be better...
  • Not Synced
...or stay down here and live your life.
  • Not Synced
I went down to the water's edge
    and saw two clouds.
  • Not Synced
    They looked like
    my great-granny and granddad.
  • Not Synced
Another cloud came up from behind,
    it looked like a chair.
  • Not Synced
    It looked like...
  • Not Synced
...they were sitting on a chair,
    waving to me.
  • Not Synced
    But some people just say
    I'm superstitious.
  • Not Synced
I think that when you die,
you can come back to life...
  • Not Synced
...as a girl, or a boy...
  • Not Synced
...or a spider, or a mouse...
  • Not Synced
    ...or something.
  • Not Synced
    Maybe my brother
could come back down as a duck.
  • Not Synced
    I don't know, really.
  • Not Synced
And then I could keep him, maybe.
  • Not Synced
    I put my hands together,
and I say "Please, please, God."
  • Not Synced
"Can I talk to my brother
    for one minute?"
  • Not Synced
    "Amen."
  • Not Synced
    Sometimes I dream
    about my little brother.
  • Not Synced
    When he was really tiny,
I used to play with him.
  • Not Synced
I used to teach him how to walk.
  • Not Synced
I know it was a bit soon,
    but that was fun.
  • Not Synced
I think a soul is like a thing
    inside your body.
  • Not Synced
    Like a ghost, really.
  • Not Synced
You can't live without a soul.
  • Not Synced
    That's what I believe.
  • Not Synced
Your soul makes your heart beat.
  • Not Synced
    Maybe that's what kills you,
your soul getting weaker and weaker.
  • Not Synced
    To tell you the truth,
I'm not that scared of dying.
  • Not Synced
Think of all the time I have left.
  • Not Synced
I'm not scared about it, not now.
