Hi, this is Asam from the It Gets Fatter project.

I'm making this video
because as some of you probably know

the NOLOSE conference is happening
in Portland (OR) this year.

It Gets Fatter received funding for free registration and lodging to attend,

however, as a collective of poor, fat people of colour, there's still no way any of us can attend

unless we fundraise.

So that's what this video is about.

Um, if you're able to, please please please support our project to be at this amazing conference.

NOLOSE is one of the only places where there's a specific stream for people of colour,

and a safe space for people of colour,

fat people of colour.

And it would be so great if It Gets Fatter could be there.

We would also really like to have a video booth so other fat people of colour can make their videos if they wanted to,

or just talk to us, give us submissions, give us ideas.
