English is so essential to a child living in rural Cambodia.
-
It means they can go to the city,
-
they can become interpreters, or tour guides, start their own business,
-
they can interact on an equal level with expats and foreigners.
-
I wanted to create a social enterprise that would help a charity I started
-
called BabyTree Projects, continue it's really important work.

-
BeeKeeper is a business that aims to inspire change in the world.
-
We do that by creating products that tackle
-
some of the world's biggest environmental problems
-
and also tackle illiteracy in children in rural Cambodia.
-
We have developed a backpack that uses recycled shirts.
-
We upcycle them into durable backpacks.
-
Each backpack that gets sold will send a child to English School for one whole year.
-
We are now ready to launch it.
-
We need to raise $15,000 dollars to begin a production run.
-
And we are going to run it through a crowdfunding campaign.
-
Through the Indiegogo platform.
-
We need 250 pledges or orders to make it work.
-
I am hopeful that we are going to get there.
