The residents of Nai Basti in Arrigutnoo Kulgam are grappling with significant challenges due to the absence of a vital link road. According to locals, their plea for a link road dates back to 2014, following a devastating flood that severely affected the village. Despite numerous appeals to authorities over the years, including from Ali Mohd Wagay, a longtime resident, the construction of the road remains unresolved.

Ali Mohd Wagay highlighted that around 40 households were compelled to relocate due to the flood, and despite remaining in the same area, the lack of a link road has compounded difficulties, particularly during medical emergencies and inclement weather.

The community now urges the Lieutenant Governor (L.G.) and district administrations to prioritize the construction of the link road, addressing this pressing issue that has significantly impacted their daily lives and access to essential services.
