Τσίπρας: Δώσαμε τη μάχη μέχρι τέλους για το καλύτερο δυνατό

  • 0:02 - 0:05
(PM Tsipras) We had been fighting a tough fight,
    the last six monts
  • 0:06 - 0:13
and we fought until the end
    in order to claim
  • 0:13 - 0:17
the best ,a deal that will
  • 0:18 - 0:20
give the ability to the country
    to stand on its feet
  • 0:20 - 0:24
and for the Greek people to be able
    to keep on fighting.
  • 0:25 - 0:28
    We faced difficult decisions ,
  • 0:29 - 0:30
    hard dilemmas
  • 0:31 - 0:34
We took the responsibility of the decision
  • 0:36 - 0:38
    in order to avoid
  • 0:39 - 0:43
    the materialization of the
    most extreme pursuits,
  • 0:44 - 0:46
    the most extreme conservative circles
  • 0:47 - 0:48
    in the European Union
  • 0:50 - 0:51
    The deal is difficult ,
  • 0:51 - 0:53
    but we deterred from
  • 0:54 - 0:57
    the pursuit for the transfer
  • 0:57 - 0:59
    of the public property abroad,
  • 1:00 - 1:07
we deterred from the plan of
    the financial suffocation
  • 1:08 - 1:11
    and the breakdown of the
    financial system,
  • 1:13 - 1:16
a plan that had -till its detail-
  • 1:17 - 1:22
in the last few days planned perfectly
  • 1:22 - 1:23
and had started to come into validity.
  • 1:25 - 1:29
Finally ,we managed ,in this tough fight
  • 1:30 - 1:33
    to claim the reconstruction,
  • 1:33 - 1:34
of the restructuring of the debt
  • 1:35 - 1:39
    and a certain financing for
    the medium term
  • 1:40 - 1:43
We were aware of the fact
that it would not be an easy task.
  • 1:44 - 1:47
We have left behind us a very
    important stock though,
  • 1:48 - 1:50
    an important stockpile
  • 1:50 - 1:55
for the crucial change in all Europe.
  • 1:57 - 1:59
    Greece will keep on fighting
  • 1:59 - 2:01
and we will keep on struggling,
  • 2:01 - 2:05
in order to be able to return to progress,
  • 2:06 - 2:11
    to regain our lost sovereignty,
  • 2:11 - 2:14
    We gained our
    popular sovereignty,
  • 2:15 - 2:18
    The message of democracy,
    the message of dignity
  • 2:18 - 2:21
we sent it to all Europe
    and to all the world.
  • 2:22 - 2:25
This is the most important stockpile.
  • 2:26 - 2:30
Finally ,I would like to thank
    all of my collaborators,
  • 2:31 - 2:36
    ministers and colleagues with who
  • 2:37 - 2:40
we had a very tough fight,
  • 2:40 - 2:42
    until the end,
  • 2:42 - 2:46
a fight which in the end of the day
    will be justified.
  • 2:48 - 2:54
    The decision today
    keeps Greece
  • 2:55 - 2:58
    under conditions of
    financial stability,
  • 2:59 - 3:02
    gives recovery capabilities.
  • 3:03 - 3:05
In the meanwhile though ,we knew
  • 3:06 - 3:14
early on that it also was a decision,
    the materialization of which,is difficult.
  • 3:15 - 3:18
    The measures it includes
  • 3:18 - 3:20
    are the ones voted
    in the Parliament
  • 3:21 - 3:25
    Measures which will create inevitably
    recessionary trends
  • 3:26 - 3:29
    I, thougt, have the feeling,
    the conviction and the hope
  • 3:29 - 3:35
that as much as the developmental package
of the 35€ billion which we succeeded in,
  • 3:36 - 3:37
    the restructuring of the debt,
  • 3:38 - 3:41
so much that the ensured financing for
    the next three years
  • 3:42 - 3:43
    will create the feeling
  • 3:43 - 3:45
to the markets and to the investors
  • 3:46 - 3:48
that the grexit is now history.
  • 3:49 - 3:51
    And this sensation
  • 3:52 - 3:56
can create the wave of investments
  • 3:56 - 3:59
    that will offset the
    recessionary trends.
  • 3:59 - 4:05
At the same time ,I believe that the
    great majority of Greek people
  • 4:06 - 4:10
    will support the effort
for the return to the development
  • 4:10 - 4:14
as one hand set off by the fact
  • 4:15 - 4:17
that we had a fair fight,
  • 4:18 - 4:21
    we fought till the end,
  • 4:21 - 4:23
    all night,
    we were negotiating hard,
  • 4:24 - 4:28
on the other hand because any weights
  • 4:29 - 4:32
    --our presence is guarantee--
  • 4:32 - 4:36
    wich weights will be distributed
    with social justice.
  • 4:36 - 4:43
Those who took all the weights on their
    shoulders the last years
  • 4:43 - 4:45
won't be the only ones who will pay again.
  • 4:45 - 4:50
    This time, they will pay
they will be loaded the weights
  • 4:50 - 4:53
and those that all the previus period
  • 4:53 - 4:56
    had managed to escape
  • 4:56 - 4:59
or they found the opportunity to escape
  • 4:59 - 5:02
because they were protected by the
    previous governments.
  • 5:03 - 5:06
Finally, I want to give you a promise:
  • 5:07 - 5:11
No matter how hard we fought to claim
    the best
  • 5:12 - 5:13
    out, in Europe,
  • 5:14 - 5:17
the same we have to fight now
  • 5:17 - 5:20
to end with the vested within.
  • 5:21 - 5:24
    Greece needs profound reform
  • 5:24 - 5:27
for the benefit of the social forces
  • 5:27 - 5:30
and against the oligarchy that led to this point.
  • 5:30 - 5:32
    And this is a promise
  • 5:32 - 5:34
    for the new try
    wich begins tomorrow.
  • 5:35 - 5:37
