    Hey guys, Surfboy20 here today.
  • Not Synced
We're back for a new video,
  • Not Synced
which is redstone circuit tips for you guys.
  • Not Synced
So, in case you are not
    quite the redstone master,
  • Not Synced
here are a few circuits that will help you
    get started in redstone.
  • Not Synced
So over here on the far right,
  • Not Synced
    we have these logic gates,
  • Not Synced
    and I will explain these
    in further detail later.
  • Not Synced
Over here, we have the pulse modifiers.
  • Not Synced
    And over here, we have
    the redstone clocks.
  • Not Synced
    So, now let's get into
    each individual one,
  • Not Synced
and I'll show you how to build them
    and how they work.
  • Not Synced
So let's get started with the clocks.
  • Not Synced
This clock is just a simple,
    quick repeater clock.
  • Not Synced
    It's nothing fancy,
  • Not Synced
    it's been in the game
    since repeaters were out,
  • Not Synced
and here's how you build it.
  • Not Synced
You place one repeater down right there,
  • Not Synced
    and you place another repeater
    down right there,
  • Not Synced
    facing opposite from each other.
  • Not Synced
Then you place redstone dust here,
    here, here, and here,
  • Not Synced
    and a redstone torch
and break it really quickly right here.
  • Not Synced
So that creates the clock. Simple.
  • Not Synced
Now what this can be used for
  • Not Synced
    is launching multiple
    items out of dispensers
  • Not Synced
    or stuff like that.
  • Not Synced
Now over here, this is a comparator clock.
  • Not Synced
    Comparator clocks are really simple
  • Not Synced
    and the fastest clock
    you can build in Minecraft.
  • Not Synced
    So this one's quite self-explanatory,
  • Not Synced
but I'll show you how to make it.
  • Not Synced
So right here you have your comparator.
  • Not Synced
Make sure to set it on subtract mode.
  • Not Synced
And then you can do that
    by right-clicking.
  • Not Synced
    And then you place redstone
here, here, and here, and that's it.
  • Not Synced
You can power it using either
a redstone block or a torch or a lever,
  • Not Synced
anything like that, and it'll start
making a quick pulse just like that one,
  • Not Synced
    just a little bit faster.
  • Not Synced
Now over here, this is a really,
    really simple one.
  • Not Synced
    This is a hopper clock.
  • Not Synced
Now, a hopper clock just uses an item
  • Not Synced
    flowing between two hoppers
    facing into each other
  • Not Synced
and you take a comparator output of it,
  • Not Synced
    and that will give you
    a really long clock.
  • Not Synced
    So let's go ahead
and grab one of these hoppers,
  • Not Synced
    place one down here,
  • Not Synced
and in order to place a hopper
    on another hopper,
  • Not Synced
    hold down shift and right-click,
  • Not Synced
    and it'll place that hopper
    facing into this one.
  • Not Synced
Go ahead and break this one,
  • Not Synced
and shift, right-click on that one
so now they're facing into each other.
  • Not Synced
    Then take your comparator
  • Not Synced
and set it on the floor
    right in front of it.
  • Not Synced
    And that'll be where
    your output comes out.
  • Not Synced
    You can put this on
this side, this side, this side,
  • Not Synced
this side, this side, or this side.
  • Not Synced
Any side that has a hopper.
  • Not Synced
So now you need to take one item
and place it in one of the hoppers
  • Not Synced
    and it'll start your clock.
  • Not Synced
So those are the redstone clocks
I have prepared for you today.
  • Not Synced
    Now let's take a look
at some of the pulse modifiers.
  • Not Synced
    Okay, right here, this is
    a pulse modifier number one.
  • Not Synced
    This is a pulse extender.
  • Not Synced
So what a pulse extender does
is when you hit a button,
  • Not Synced
    it extends the pulse
past when the button stop's pushed.
  • Not Synced
    So, as you can see,
  • Not Synced
the pulse just gave out right there,
  • Not Synced
but the button has been unpressed
    for a long time.
  • Not Synced
So these can be super useful
for hooking it up to clocks,
  • Not Synced
    making clocks run longer,
    and other cool stuff,
  • Not Synced
like keeping a door open for longer.
  • Not Synced
    And it's really simple,
  • Not Synced
all these circuits I've made really simple
    so it's easy to build.
  • Not Synced
    So right here,
    you can place one comparator,
  • Not Synced
    and the other one
    facing the other direction,
  • Not Synced
    and redstone, redstone, redstone,
  • Not Synced
with a block, and then a button.
  • Not Synced
    So as you can see,
  • Not Synced
    it perfectly extends the signal
    just like this one.
  • Not Synced
    So now let's move on
    to the pulse shortener.
  • Not Synced
Now this one is really cool
    because, as you can see,
  • Not Synced
    watch this redstone dust,
  • Not Synced
it'll give a really quick pulse,
  • Not Synced
    almost not clearly seen,
    but it really does.
  • Not Synced
So now I'm gonna show you
    how to build this one.
  • Not Synced
Now this one's a little bit more tricky
    because it has a piston,
  • Not Synced
so you're gonna need iron and slime
    'cause it's a sticky piston.
  • Not Synced
    So let's go ahead
and start placing down the blocks.
  • Not Synced
    So you place down
    your block with your button,
  • Not Synced
    and then from that,
  • Not Synced
    you take a repeater output
    set on two ticks
  • Not Synced
    with a piston right here,
  • Not Synced
so go ahead and break that block
and put a block in front of it,
  • Not Synced
and then right here is your redstone dust.
