Who are you, and who are you in the movement?

My name is Vegard Bilsbak, in real life, I'm Vegard Zeitgeist on facebook...

...and bilveg on the international forum.

I currently work as an engineer in the oil business, eh...

...but have plans to get into geothermal energy...

...and to work with geothermal energy in Norway in the future - that's the goal.

Do you want to tell a bit more about that or is it a secret?

There's no secrets, the ones I work for will probably not watch this movie,

but I'm in contact with a company here in Norway, a small Norwegian company called Rock Energy,

who's got plans to start developing geothermal energy in Norway,

and I've been talking to them about the posibility to do a PhD in geothermal energy

at the same time as I'm applied with them, and then start to work for them afterwards.

So, I'm hoping I can do a PhD in geithermal energy.

Then I will feel like I'm contributing with something, not just talk about Zeitgeist

and then make excuses for what I work with, but actually be able to say that

"yes, I'm involved in The Zeitgeist Movement and now I've quit my job in the oil business

and started to work with geothermal energy, so I'm actually doing something,

it's not just talk."

That... I'm looking forward to that if it happens.

So I'm keeping my fingers crossed - no, I'm not keeping my fingers crossed,

but I'm hoping it happens.

Ehm, how did you get active in the movement and why did you become a member of the movement,

and why do you support the movement and resource based economics?

Eh, I discovered The Zeitgeist Movement throug, I have a friend who is, well, he's into conspiracy stuff,

and he's always been talking about that "they" own all the money,

and New World Order and this and that, and have always been trying to get to watch different movies,

then I watch one film he recommended, and I don't remeber what movie that was,

but, nevertheless, when I checked that movie on IMDB,

it said that a related film was Zeitgeist: The Movie, and just before that

I'd read a book by Richard Dawkins where he talked about the term "Zeitgeist"

so it was in the back of my mind, so that word jumped out from, from the page

so I checked out what it was about, and it was about a history of Jesus, that he maybe didn't exist

and 9/11, which I had come across earlier and the banking system and thought

"that movie I'll have to check out", so after I'd seen that I was a bit pissed and a bit shaky

Eh, not that necessarily all the stuff in the movie is, it's said it's sourced and everything,

but anyways, I looked up Zeitgeist and found out that there was a "Zeitgeist: Addendum", a number two

so then I had to watch that the same, night I guess it had become, but I watched that film

and during that movie it went click, a lightbulbe came on, and previously I've cared for the environment

I did a master thesis connected to CO2-capture, but I noticed that nothing was happening,

it never happens. I thought that the politicians should just decide that we have to do this

because it's important, to save the environment, to stop global warming if it is real

but I saw that nothing happened, no political will, nothing.

So, nothing is happening, and when I watched Zeitgeist Addendum I thought: aha!

That's why nothing is happening, that's the way it's connected.

And of course, it took a long time afterwards to understand the concept resource based economics

and really understand what it's about, but it was a lightbulbe that came on there and then

and I haven't looked back since.

So, eh, what was the next question...

I support The Zeitgeist Movement and resource based economics because

I don't feel I have a choice, because, before I've had any motivation to get involved poilitically

because I had no belief that it would work, that it would make a difference,

but this was so radically different, if it just gopt listened to it had to actually makr a real difference,

eh, yes, I have to... I just have to, because the more I learn, the more I read,

the more I watch of documentaries and everything, the more...

the stronger the idea of resource based economics becomes, and it just seems more and more right the more I learn.

Everything falls into place, yeah... Yeah, it clicks.

So, so, I doubt I will find some other alternative for how to run the world, a method to organize society

that will work as well as I think a resource based economy will.
