Indonesia's legislative election will be held on April 2014.
-
This is Al Mundir, reporting from Malaysia
-
to inform you about the situation in Malaysia prior to the election in Indonesia.
-
We will hear Indonesian migrant workers talk about their hopes, representing millions of other Indonesians in Malaysia.
-
Well, I hope the leaders will be responsible...
-
honest, dedicated, and that they can build a better Indonesia.
-
I hope the next leader can help most of the migrant workers overseas
-
Golkar party...
-
Not corrupt, and responsible.
-
I really want to vote.
-
If only the Indonesian consulate can provide some security, safety, I'm ready to cast my vote.
-
Our problem is that we are migrants without documents.
-
Because got cheated (by employment agents).
-
A criteria for the next leader is that they can give perspective
-
to the public.
-
Second, that the leader that put the lower classes at the forefront
-
Third, that the leader can lead all of the people and avoid becoming partial, treating certain people differently.
-
Everything should be equal.
-
We only know Golkar, PDI, and PKB... I would give my vote to one of those.
-
Honest, equal, and care about migrant workers overseas.
-
I can't vote around here, how we can do that?
-
The reason is that we migrants are so busy, and we are following our bosses around.
-
We can't just freely travel here and there.
-
We work from 7am until 7pm.
-
If there's a team that approaches us, we can vote. We can vote for a better leader.
-
Peaceful, honest, and wise. That kind of leader.
-
I hope we get a leader that is more firm, and honest. Against corruption, firm, that can handle Indonesians
-
here in Malaysia. So people can live happily. We have a hard life here. If we get a firm leader, we will be happy.
-
i heard a lot of news about corruption. From PAN, PDI, Golkar, PPP, Demokrat party.
-
How about you, which one do you choose?
-
I choose honesty, firmness, any party that has honesty, firmness... a party of communication.
-
There's PKB, PDI too, Gerindra, Nasdem, those are the ones I know.
-
Firstly, equal, honest, and care about their people.
-
Create jobs, that's what I'm hoping.
-
About parties, I know, there's PKB, PAN, Gerindra, Demokrat, what else... ya, that's it.
-
Our problem is that we're too far from the Indonesian Consulate. And also we don't have (proper) permits.
-
So it's quite a challenge to travel. If possible, the Indonesian consulate should provide us a means, and they have a team going to the companies.
-
So people can give their votes, to ease the problem.
-
I want a wise, firm and brave leader who is not corrupt.
-
Because now I hear that in Indonesia there is so much corruption, that's not responsible.
-
Lots of news about corruption...
-
Leaders that are unjust, yeah that's it.
-
We feel embarrassed to hear such news.
-
I won't give my vote. I don't know who to choose, what their goals, vision, and mission are.
-
i don't know any party, so how can I choose? You could say I'll be Golput (absent).
-
We just heard the hopes and anxieties from Indonesians who probably
-
can't vote in this 2014 election.
-
Will there be any solution from Indonesian government?
-
I'll keep you posted with more updates from the 2014 Indonesia election in Malaysia.
