Dr. Mohamed Zaazoue is a practicing neurosurgeon, currently completing his neurosurgery residency at Ain Shams University hospitals, and is a strong believer of preventive medicine. Zaazoue is also the Founding President of a non-governmental organization called Healthy Egyptians. Zaazoue has been recognized by Forbes as one of the 30 most influential social entrepreneurs worldwide in their "30 Under 30" list for 2014. He has been granted an Ashoka fellowship, to become the youngest Ashoka Fellow worldwide working in the field of health.
Zaazoue has been working for the past five years to spread health education among the people in the developing countries using innovative tools. He has created a special curriculum for children at nurseries and schools. His work has been awarded and featured in the Financial Times, in their "Urban Ingenuity Award".

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
