    You use symbols, text, pictures for patients that have trouble communicating.

    They point to certain pictures for what they want or need.

    You have to tell your nurse "I need to go to the bathroom."

    The nurses can understand what he wants. If he's in pain they can find something to give him.

    If he want to go to the bathroom, they can get him out of bed.

    He's used it now for three days

    and he's able to use it for his drinks, food, and to express his name and where he lives.
