[Agnes Choi | The 15 Mins Online Team ]
The Open Translation Project gives me
pleasure from collaborating with people
and a chance to strengthen my English
[Donghyun Kim | Video Translator]
The fun from working together
And the feeling of getting
better and better every step
These are the benefits
from working on this project
The concept of
the 'Open Translation Project' was
kind of interesting to me
'The 15 Minutes'
where you get to spread your ideas
[Steven Butler | English Consultant]
is something that I really believe in.
The free spread of education and ideas
is something that
I think should be worldwide
One of the best ways
to change the world is
to spread the strong will of people
[Inhyuk Song | The 15 Mins Curator]
who want to walk their own paths
And to make a chance
for them to participate together
[Donghyun Kim | Video Translator]
While participating in the project
I thought it was really meaningful
to make quality Korean content available worldwide
I think the true meaning of 'globalization' is
more than just spreading content
into foreign countries
[Agnes Choi | The 15 Mins Online Team ]
There is a lot of quality Korean content
that also has language and cultural barriers
'Globalization' means
removing those barriers
in order to enable more people
to acceess that content
and even to add more value
to that content
because it can be fresher
and more exotic outside of Korea
I think that is
what true 'globalization' means
When you translate it
into other languages
unlike when you just listen to it
[Inhyuk Song | The 15 Mins Curator]
when you translate it sentence by sentence
you can have the chance
to thoroughly go over its history
and the will to achieve the goal
which makes myself think
about 'How to live my own life'
And, just like I did myself
I can spread the same opportunities
to people all over the world
I think one of the greatest ways
to positively influence the world is
participating in the 'Open Translation Project'
by The 15 Minutes
Most of time
after finishing translating
[Donghyun Kim | Video Translator]
and seeing my work on TV
I never saw my name
at the ending credit of the program
However, unlike my past experiences,
I could see my name on this
- On the video of 'The 15 Minutes'?
- Yes
I could see my name
at the end of the video
When I saw my name
at the ending credit
I literally felt touched
As a foreigner, I think
it's a great way to work together
with Koreans and
to work together with other people
[Steven Butler | English Consultant]
And also to learn Korean a little bit
and I think anybody who lives in Korea
and I think anybody who lives in Korea
and the foreigners would benefit a lot
if they were able to help participate
in these kinds of translations
I feel grateful
to be participating
in a great project like this
from the start
[Agnes Choi | The 15 Mins Online Team ]
I hope people around the world
can participate in this project
and use this opportunity
to create globalized content together
as well as make a worldwide network of
participants who share values
