that a vast army was approaching
to wage war against him.

Alarmed by this news,
Jehoshaphat proclaimed

a fast for all of Judah.

People came from
every town in Judah

to fast and pray together.

We were part of a large group,
and Jehoshaphat

was earnestly asking God
for assistance.

Then a man called Jahaziel
stood up and said

that Jehoshaphat
should not be concerned—

that it was not his battle,
but God's battle.
