(bucket loudly hits ground, water sprays into bucket) (ice cubes drop in) Ryan Higa - Hey guys. So, a lot of you have been telling me to do this "Ice Bucket Challenge". And, for those of you that don't know, it's a charitable challenge, where, you take an ice bucket of water -- "ice bucket", uh, bucket of ice water -- and dump it on your head and donate ten dollars, or you donate $100 if you chicken out, to an ALS charity -- or, I believe that's Lou Gehrig's Disease, that's probably the more common name. But, basically, you donate $10 with an ice bucket, or you do the $100 and ... I am not gonna chicken out, I'm gonna do the ice bucket challenge right now. So, here it is: - Let's do it. You got it. (Ryan): Stupid challenge, I'm just gonna..." - Go! (Sighs) (Ryan) I know I'm mad. - (Chanting: "Do it! Do it!") (Ryan screams as loose dollar bills comes pouring over him) (Ryan) Just money, I ... I'm just gonna donate the $100, I'm not gonna dump ice water, that's stupid. And now I know what a stripper feels like. I mean, a really good stripper, but ... On a serious note, I am going to be donating $100 to the ALS Association. I'm not gonna call out anyone specifically to do this challenge, because I think it's kind of rude to put people on ??s with Jenna Marbles. Actually, you know what, I'll just call out everyone watching this video. If you don't have somebody to call you out, I'm gonna use me as an example. I'll call you out. I'm calling you out. Eh? What? Eh? And also, if you didn't notice, I didn't disable the ads, even though this is a charitable video, and the reason for that is because I thout it'd be stupid and wasteful not to monetize on it, when I could raise more money to donate. Basically, in addition to the $100, however much this video earns is going straight to the charity as well. In other words, you guys are contributing as well, because the more views it gets, the more money this video is going to earn, and all that money goes away 100% towards the charity. So thank you guys so much for watching. I'm sorry to disappoint all of you who thought I was going to get ice water on me. If you think about it, though, it's actually better to not do the Ice Challenge, because you donate more money, if you don't do the ice challenge ... [someone to his side dumps an entire bucket of presumably ice-cold water over his head]!! - Oh, I just got wet, damn it!! -Oh my God! (laughter) (female voice) - Is it cold? (laughter) Ryan - Not worth it! 1:58 - Can you see all right? (more laughter) Ryan - Now what? Boom!!!! - Oooooooh!, dude!! ♪ Music ♪ <> So this part of the video that you are currently watching is not supposed to be in this video. Does that make sense? I just had to put this disclaimer in the video, because I just watched Charlie Sheen's Ice Bucket Challenge at five pm (5:00 PM) August 18th, Monday. And it is the exact same thing that we just did. The exact same thing that you just saw basically. So this is two days later. We filmed Ice Bucket Challenge two days ago, which was on Friday, and we couldn't release it that day because, as you saw in the video, we had to put some effects with the water and the fake money, so that it was in one shot. But, apparently (laughs), we waited too long. And normally, I would just trash this video because I hate posting videos that are already out there, but because it's for a good cause, I suppose it really doesn't matter, I just didn't want you guys to think that we just copied his idea. We didn't put any thought into this video, even though we did -- although it wasn't like that much thought. Clearly it wasn't a good thought, if other people are thinking about it. But, I suppose as the saying goes, "Great minds DO think alike", which means, I have a mind like Charlie Sheen ... which I don't know if that's a good thing ... because it's a great thing !!
