Click Your Fortune #3: Top future jobs - Daniel Suarez

0:06 - 0:08I would like to think of it as a social programmer.
-
0:08 - 0:11I think society is going to be a lot more technological.
-
0:11 - 0:13We're going to have augmented reality interfaces.
-
0:13 - 0:15We're going to have interfaces to government,
-
0:15 - 0:16to civic institutions,
-
0:16 - 0:19and I think programmers aren't going to be sitting
-
0:19 - 0:20in front of screens so much
-
0:20 - 0:23as walking in and around people
-
0:23 - 0:24and adjusting that interface on the fly
-
0:24 - 0:27to suit, sort of,
-
0:27 - 0:28as it happens,
-
0:28 - 0:31interfaces that people need at events,
-
0:31 - 0:32government.
-
0:32 - 0:33And I like the idea of a programmer
-
0:33 - 0:35who talks to people
-
0:35 - 0:36and then makes those interfaces
-
0:36 - 0:39sort of become instantiated.
-
0:39 - 0:40That would be a cool job.
-
0:40 - 0:43That would be a job I'd want.
