SFHS freshman Sol Kim discusses the culture of plastic surgery in Korea, and the often detrimental effects of unrealistic beauty standards on teenagers.

Sol Kim is a 14 year old freshman at SFS and the recipient of multiple Scholastic writing awards. She has lived in Korea for six years after living in New York, Hong Kong and Canada. Writing is a way for her to express her emotions and experiences as a teenager in Korea. She hopes that through her amalgamation of her experiences and emotions in Korea, she will be able to change the perspectives of the guests today.
