Paddling around island of Rab, Croatia
-
August 13 - 18, 2012
-
5 days, 91 kilometers paddling
-
on August 13, we put the Excursion to the roof of the car, and headed to the sea
-
show yourself as well
-
give it to me...
-
ok, that will be good in this way also
-
the free parking place in Stinića (we left the car here when we were paddling around Rab)
-
starting point next to the parking place
-
view of Rab from the continent - Let's start!
-
Please turn the cam around!
-
the first stop was the bay of Mag
-
where we just had a little rest...
-
and headed towards to Lopar!
-
we spent the day in an amazing bay
-
in the evening we landed in Lopar near to the camp San Marino
-
and had a fantastic dinner on the beach!
-
we spent the night in the Podpećine bay
-
it is hard to awake and get out of the sleeping bag...
-
but as the sun rose we folded our tent (we was afraid of the penalty of 2000HRK because of spending a night in a tent outside of a campsite)
-
and after the morning coffee we started to visit Goli Otok, which was a prison island in the communism
-
it is just ruins now (lucky for us that we didn't payed for tourist guide or for anything)
-
we could see the island of Prvić first and then the island of Grgur when we left Goli,
-
but we headed back to the Lopar peninsula!
-
Some spirit and breakfast "on the first class" :)
-
... it is Wednesday and we will have our breakfast here...
-
...in this boat-wreck, but it has a built-in litter-bin...
-
...and seats and a kind of table...
-
we spent the day here, in the bay of Saramić
-
in the evening we left this bay
-
and paddled along the coast of the Lopar Peninsula
-
and we headed toward to the northern point of island Rab
-
to reach Maman, the island where we spent our third night.
-
in the morning we continued our way to the city of Rab, paddling around the Dundo Peninsula
-
We touched Kampor to had a beer and a burek for breakfast!
-
we spent the whole day in an awesome bay on the northwest side of the Dundo
-
... the Dundo looks like this:
-
... we are at the northwest side of it...
-
the sea is wonderful, it is hard to express how,
-
and we found perfect places for setting up a tent if you would spend a night here.
-
It was really fantastic here on the Dundo,
