Accepting a Coursera Accomplishment issued via Credly

...excited to introduce our new system
for recognizing the hard work

that our Coursera volunteers do,
by issuing badges or accomplishments.

If you are eligible to receive a
Coursera accomplishment

you will receive an email from Coursera
via Credly.

Credly is the third party service which
we're using to issue

all of these accomplishments.

The subject line of the email will be
the title of the badge

which you have earned.

if you click into the email you will see
the image of the badge that you earned

and you will have the option
to save and share it.

You do need to take this step in order
to be able to do anything with the badge.

As I mentioned, we are using a third
party service called Credly

to issue these badges

You will need to create an account on
Credly in order to be able to share

your accomplishments on your social
media networks.

If you don't already have a Credly
account you will be prompted

to sign in or create your account

once you click
Save and Share on the badge.

You can do that with Facebook or LinkedIn
or by filling out your information.

Once you have created your
account you'll be prompted to accept

your badge and from there you'll be able
to see it in your Credly profile.

If you would like to share it
on your LinkedIn, Facebook or Twitter

you can click this icon represented
by three connected dots.

Alternatively, you can click the Manage
button which will show you the badge

in greater detail and again you'll see that
same icon which you can use to share it

on whichever social media profile
you choose.

You will be prompted to connect
your social media accounts.

If you haven't already done so,
you will need to connect them

to your Credly account in
order to be able to accept

the accomplishments that we issue.

If you have already created
a Credly account

and if you have set Coursera to be a
trusted issuer,

if you click this Save and Share button,
you will be immediately directed

to the main accomplishment page

where you can see the full details of
the badge. itself.

If you would like to print out or save
a PDF version

we recommend this is the page that is
most suited for that.
