2:47 - 2:49I'd like to share with you a little bit of me
-
2:49 - 2:52playing my life.
-
2:52 - 2:54I might look successful and happy
-
2:54 - 2:56being in front of you today,
-
2:56 - 2:59but I once suffered from severe depression
-
2:59 - 3:02and was in total despair.
-
3:02 - 3:05The violin, which meant everything to me,
-
3:05 - 3:08became a grave burden on me.
-
3:08 - 3:11Although many people tried to comfort and encourage me,
-
3:11 - 3:15their words sounded like meaningless noise.
-
3:15 - 3:19When I was just about to give everything up
-
3:19 - 3:21after years of suffering,
-
3:21 - 3:26I started to rediscover the true power of music.
-
3:26 - 3:41(Music)
-
4:48 - 4:51In the midst of hardship,
-
4:51 - 4:56it was the music that gave me -- that restored my soul.
-
4:56 - 4:58The comfort the music gave me
-
4:58 - 5:00was just indescribable,
-
5:00 - 5:04and it was a real eye-opening experience for me too,
-
5:04 - 5:07and it totally changed my perspective on life
-
5:07 - 5:10and set me free from the pressure
-
5:10 - 5:15of becoming a successful violinist.
-
5:15 - 5:18Do you feel like you are all alone?
-
5:18 - 5:22I hope that this piece will touch and heal your heart,
-
5:22 - 5:24as it did for me.
-
5:24 - 5:30(Music)
-
6:40 - 6:49(Applause)
-
6:49 - 6:51Thank you.
-
6:51 - 6:54Now, I use my music to reach people's hearts
-
6:54 - 6:57and have found there are no boundaries.
-
6:57 - 7:01My audience is anyone who is here to listen,
-
7:01 - 7:05even those who are not familiar with classical music.
-
7:05 - 7:10I not only play at the prestigious classical concert halls
-
7:10 - 7:12like Carnegie Hall and Kennedy Center,
-
7:12 - 7:16but also hospitals, churches, prisons,
-
7:16 - 7:20and restricted facilities for leprosy patients,
-
7:20 - 7:22just to mention a few.
-
7:22 - 7:26Now, with my last piece, I'd like to show you
-
7:26 - 7:30that classical music can be so much fun, exciting,
-
7:30 - 7:33and that it can rock you.
-
7:33 - 7:36Let me introduce you to my brand new project,
-
7:36 - 7:38"Baroque in Rock,"
-
7:38 - 7:41which became a golden disc most recently.
-
7:41 - 7:44It's such an honor for me.
-
7:44 - 7:48I think, while I'm enjoying my life as a happy musician,
-
7:48 - 7:53I'm earning a lot more recognition than I've ever imagined.
-
7:53 - 7:56But it's now your turn.
-
7:56 - 7:58Changing your perspectives
-
7:58 - 8:02will not only transform you but also the whole world.
