Fragility and vulnerability are not things you might ordinarily associate with a professional basketball player. Then again, neither are the experiences of Alex Owumi every day occurrences. Alex shares his journey from feted sportsman, to observer of atrocities in conflict-riddled Libya. His descent into the darkest of emotions almost broke him, but he was saved, in more ways than one, by those who helped him to escape. In return, he promised to tell the story of how their worlds collided.
