Click Your Fortune #2: Inspiration - Adital Ela
-
0:04 - 0:07It was after ten days of walking in nature
-
0:07 - 0:10in silence on a meditation retreat
-
0:10 - 0:12and stepping into an area
-
0:12 - 0:17that was so pure and tender
-
0:17 - 0:20that it really felt like no person stepped there
-
0:20 - 0:23for a very long time or even forever.
-
0:23 - 0:27And when I stepped there,
-
0:27 - 0:30the first thought that came to my mind
-
0:30 - 0:35was questioning whether I have a right to be there,
-
0:35 - 0:38stepping in a place full of living organisms
-
0:38 - 0:42thriving there without any human interference.
-
0:42 - 0:44And then the next thought was,
-
0:44 - 0:46"What if I was a cow?"
-
0:46 - 0:48You know, then it would be very natural
-
0:48 - 0:49for me to walk there.
-
0:49 - 0:51These very different questions
-
0:51 - 0:56and these very different ways of looking at myself
-
0:56 - 0:59walking in the world in a very certain moment
-
0:59 - 1:02really made me question the whole assumptions
-
1:02 - 1:06of how we, people, walk on Earth
-
1:06 - 1:07and work on Earth
-
1:07 - 1:09and thrive on Earth.
-
1:09 - 1:11And is there really such a big difference
-
1:11 - 1:15between the way we view animals
-
1:15 - 1:17and the way we walk ourselves?
-
1:17 - 1:21And maybe this inspiration
-
1:21 - 1:24to how we as designers, as creative people,
-
1:24 - 1:26as people that are willing to question
-
1:26 - 1:27everything around us
-
1:27 - 1:29and find new ways,
-
1:29 - 1:33is very much about agreeing to walk like cows
-
1:33 - 1:36and agreeing to be part of this wealth
-
1:36 - 1:38of living organisms.
